Gerund takes several minutes to tend to his companions' wounds. His powers are not great enough to completely heal them, but both Sasha and Yola are in much better shape now. Unfortunately it takes all of Gerund's divine strength, and the party is now without any magical healing for the rest of the day. Anyone else that gets injured will have to rely on Poot's knowledge of moss and leeches.
The party then heads into the basement. The walls here are cut stone, with a packed earth floor. The ceiling is much lower here, but not so much that you have to crouch. Gerund leads the way until you get to a branch in the dimly lit corridor. To his left is a rubble strewn path that stretches 15 feet or so before turning again.
Which way to go?
See the map below for a better idea of where you all are. Gerund used his lay on Hands ability on Sasha, and the blessing from his holy symbol to heal Yola. Yola's rage and Poot's Inspire courage effects wore off during this time. Current HP are:
Yola 11/14
Sasha 5/7
Poot 7/7
Gerund 11/11
Seoni 5/5

Seoni says, "If I were a gambler, I'd put money that that rubble path leads to more goblins."
True enough, do you think that we could all get through there, we may have to move some of the rubble.
What say you Poot, Gerund? Anyone up to moving some rocks.
Yola
The rubble strewn across the corridor is enough to prevent running, but you can pick your way through it without having to move any of it. Its mostly broken brick work piled no higher than midshin.
"All right, watch your step folks," Gerund said, "I'll go in front. Keep an eye peeled for nasty surprises."
Sword and shield ready, Gerund picked his way through the rubble, down the hallway, "I don't suppose anyone has a torch?"
"Glad to help, Sir Knight"
Poot cracks his knuckles and casts a Light spell on Gerund's drawn sword, allowing it to radiate a brilliant white light from deep within the metal.
Seoni nods approval, "Nice trick, that. Wish I knew that one."
"He does have his uses doesn't he?" Sasha says giving the halfling a wink.
Holding her rapier aloft she stretches her side feeling where the skin has healed over thanks to the Blacksmith's magic touch.
In gloom she was glad no one could see her face. She grimaced slightly ashamed that the snot had gotten the jump on her.
Before she had run away from home she had lost a fight with the Lull the neighborhood bully. She has done pretty well but he had blind-sided her sending her into the pig trough. Her father had given her a look of disdain. It wasn't due to her appearance but because she should have won.
"Remember Sasha," he had said. "Distractions will get you killed in this world. Where your head goes your body will follow."
Following her group she counted her losses: the card game, being stabbed, burnt with tongs and worse being swarmed by Snots.
She tried not to think about her father would say. But deep down she knew he would have been giving her that same look of disdain.
