Poot: You dim your lantern and move farther down the tunnel, taking pains to be as quiet and stealthy as you can. The sound of your heart pounding in your ears makes it difficult to judge exactly how far you've gone, but after maybe eight or nine hundred more feet of darkness and silence, the passage splits. You can turn to your right (unless you've gotten totally turned around that would would be south east.) or to your left (north west, towards the beach). The passage also continues on the way you've been going ( north east). Of course you could also turn around and go back. The faint air current gets a little swirly here, but you think its still coming from the north east, not one of the new side passages.
Yola and Seoni: You head back to the Glassworks with the two guards in tow. When you get to the basement, you find Poot's makeshift camp, but no Poot. He has staked out two lanterns at the mouth of the tunnel, but the halfling is nowhere in sight. Neither are Sasha and Gerund.
Gerund and Sasha: Sasha sets little Aeren down beside her mother. The two adventurers draw their weapons and enter the house. It is a small two story building. You quickly determine that all is well on the main floor and head upstairs to the bedrooms, Sasha in the lead. Sasha pushes the door to Aeren's room open. It is furnished for a small child, with a child sized bed and several toys scattered around the floor. Amongst the toys lies the body of the dog Petal in a pool of it's own blood, a jagged piece of metal sticking from the side of the poor creatures head. On the other side of the room, a man is lying with the top half of his body inside the closet. There is no obvious movement from anywhere in the room.

Yola muttering under her breath - damn curious halfling - Well what do you think Seoni, do we wait for Master Poot or shall we see where the tunnel goes. We have some strong lads here and I'm curious enough to see where the tunnel goes, are ye game?
"Lead on, then. But hold a moment while I prepare," Seoni replies. She casts Mage Armour (assuming her previous one is long gone).
"Should we leave Poot some kind of message? Or Sasha and Gerund?"
"How about I pull the body out of the closet by his feet, and you get ready to stab whatever's in there? On the count of three? One...two...five - "
After casting a Divination Spell of Correct Path Sense ("Eenie meenie meynee mo...) Poot decides to proceed in a straight line.
Sasha gestures for the Blacksmith to follow her into the room.
Seeing the body half tucked in the closet door she withdrawals her rapier and fastens her other hand on the whip. Sasha takes a quick peek under the bed just to ensure there's no snots lurking.
@ Should there be a goblin under the bed she will attack and kill it.
@ If there's no Snots under the bed she nudges the dead body with her foot and will open the door and try to pull the body out.
