Poot Yola and Seoni agree to fall back to the broken wall and set up camp to rest. Seoni breaks one of her sun rods and the three prepare a cold meal in the dank gloom, each haunted by images of the strange creature they faced.
Sasha and Gerund reach the intersection, and then head off down the south east passage in search of their companions, only to find them seated around a makeshift campsite munching trail rations.

After the companions catch each other up, they decide to take a few hours to rest and recoup their strength. You sleep in shifts of about four hours, and are repacked and ready to proceed by what you guess is around sundown. During that time there are no sounds from direction of where you fought the creature.
Cautious, but confident now that you are all back together the party set back off down the passage, coming to the cavern where the short battle took place. There is no corpse.
Feel free to read each other's threads to catch yourself up on what you companions have been up to ( remember to read bottom to top). All characters are at full HP and all their abilities are restored. Refer to the map below for positions. I've guessed at a marching order; if you have any objections, now is the time to speak up. Let me know how you want to proceed from here.

Sasha walks in stride with the rest of her companions. There isn't much to say. Somewhere inside of her she's glad that the rest of her friends handled the monster.
She whispers to the blacksmith "after hearing the halfling's song maybe killing it was the kindest thing to do after all?" she says with a smirk.
"But where did it go? More importantly, how did it go?" asks Gerund.
Hearing the comments, Yola shrugs and says - it's gone, that's good but could there be more - at least we know that it can be killed, so if there's more then we can deal with it.
Whoever has the journal maybe there's a clue in there? Maybe the goblins dragged it back.
Whatever the case let's get moving and get to the fighting to help save the town from what could happen again
With that Yola picks up her stride and takes out her quarterstaff - just in case.
Tsuto's journal has been reposted below for your convenience . .
"It's not exactly a happy tale," Sasha says referring to the journal passage.
"There's a little side cavern here. Let's take a quick look shall we? I'd hate for anything to sneak up because we got sloppy. The God's know we wouldn't hear the end of it from the townies."
Sasha peers into the cavern with her rapier drawn.
OOC: Brett - do you mean the cavern that Sasha is standing in front of now or the next hallway?
Mich
The cavern depicted on the map (immediately to the party's right) is where the strange creature was slain. There is some gore staining the centre of the area, but no corpse, and the cavern is otherwise empty.
"I think the raid was definitely only the beginning, Yola. According to the journal, they are planning something much bigger. I wonder if there's any way to collapse some of these tunnels to stop them from being used again?"
OCC the cavern above yola at the top of the map veering to the right.
Let's see what's up around the bend shall we then. I would have to agree with Seoni I wonder if we can collapse these tunnels to prevent anything else happening - what say you Master Poot?
