"Alright, 'nuff magic outta you!" Poot pulls out his last theatrical prop. His keen Halfling ears pick out the sound of Erylium's beating wings near the western door. Closing one eye he sends the thunder stone spinning. It cracks on the door frame with an ear splitting BOOM! and you can all hear Erylium moan in pain, though she remains invisible. Poot follows up by beginning a little ditty to lift his comrade's spirits.
Sasha curses under her breath as she lunges at the Spider's head. Her aim is true and she pierces the vermin through one of its many faceted eyes. The spider lurches to face Sasha, greasy black ichor spurting onto the floor from the wound. It lunges at her but she sidesteps the attack.
Seoni takes advantage of the distraction. Stepping away from the spider she envelops herself in invisible fields of force.
Gerund covers Seoni's retreat by stepping between her and the spider, but cannot manage to land a blow against the now enraged arachnid.
From the far end of the room, Yola yells in frustration, both that her javelin failed to find its mark, and at the plight of her beleaguered friends. She leaps off the balcony and sprints over to the centipede, where she jams the butt of her staff down through the creature's head. Its many legs twitch spasmodically as she kicks the corpse aside.
The shoanti looks around for another bug to stomp and hears Erylium begin chanting another spell. Actually everyone can hear her as the deafened little demon practically shouts the incantations. Yola grins as readies herself to sprint across the room and turn Erylium into a pinata (or the barbarian equivalent of something fragile, candy filled and waiting to be hit with a big stick). Suddenly, her trusty shepherd's staff explodes into splinters!
Interesting round! The centipede is dead and the spider is badly wounded thanks to critical hits from both Sasha and Yola. Seoni is momentarily out of harms way and her mage armor has raised her AC to a much more respectable 17. Poot's trick with the Thunderstone worked ( great thinking!). He succeeded in deafening Erylium, which bumped her and her summoned beasties down to the bottom of the initiative order, but she managed to cast a shatter spell on Yola's staff anyway. This has given away Erylium's position again, which is marked on the map this turn, but she is still invisible.
What's a Critical Hit? Each weapon has a critical threat range, for example 19-20/x2. This means if you roll a natural 19-20 on your to hit roll, you may inflict x2 damage. But first you must confirm the critical by rolling a second to hit. If this roll is good enough to hit your opponent again, you score the extra damage.
How do I hit an invisible opponent? First you must pinpoint your opponent's location by beating their stealth check with a perception check. Once you have pinpointed the approximate location, you may attack normally, but there is a base 50% chance that your attack will miss irregardless.

Candy is dandy, but ichor is quicker.
Gerund does his best to keep the spider busy, or at least keep himself between it and his friends, "No, over here! Hey, I'm talking to YOU Eight Eyes!"
He feels frustrated at his incredibly poor aim so far, but he continues to swing away, regardless.
[...and wonders whether the Giant Spider counts as "big game". ]
[FEAT: Big Game Hunter (+1 to hit, +2 dmg vs Large or bigger creatures)]
Knowing that the effects of his song will linger, and feeling like he better ride his luck, Poot notches an arrow to his bow string, sticks his tongue out in concentration, and tries to pinpoint the Troublesome Transparent Twat (which he also decides will be the name of this particular chapter in Poot's Big Book of Life that is constantly being scribed in the depths of his genius halfling brain.)
Yola looks at her beloved staff splittered into pieces, shaking her head, her eyes clouded with anger - the staff, my staff she mutters, then taking a stance hands on hips she takes out her Javelin, and spending a point on rage she runs to where the boom came from yelling " in the name of the Moon Clan, and the Shoanti, you will die!!" and goes to attack the invisible foe. Either using the javelin as a makeshift quarterstaff or using it like a lance.

Sasha takes several steps back from the spider content to let the blacksmith have at the flailing beast.
Turn around to the infernal chanting she unravels her whip and trusts her quick thinking to pin- point the little monstrosity it down with her whip.
