Gerund sees the mutant retreat from him and charges after, skipping between the pits. With a mighty swing guided by Seoni's touch of destiny, he deals a grievous wound to his opponent, severing one of the extraneous arms growing from its neck. Blood sprays as the severed limb lands on one of the wooden lids and the moaning below turns to a frenzied grunting.
Using the enchantments in her Varisian tatoos, Seoni calls forth four glowing spheres of light and sends them dancing around their opponents head, trying to distract him, but it is hard to tell if they are having any effect.
Yola backs away from the mutant, trying to maintain the right distance between her and the mutant, but can't land a hit on him as she does. Sasha also has trouble hitting the goblin, who bats away her first flimsy rapier thrust with ease and concentrates his full ire on Gerund.
Gerund parries Koruvus' first heavy, overhand chop easily, and deflects the goblin's low swinging axe with his shield. But the goblin is a devious combatant. The axe swing pulled Gerund's guard low, and Koruvus delivers a nasty gash below Gerund's collar bone with his third, dagger wielding arm. Finally, Koruvus steps back, putting a pit between him and Gerund and again getting in under Yola's effective reach.
Meanwhile Poot has moved up to the southern exit of the room. Beyond stretches a long hallway ending in a door, with another branch east about halfway down its length..
Gerund and Koruvus trade blows - Gerund dealing a whopping 10 HP, and Koruvus fighting back for a 4 HP hit against the Paladin. Go ahead and post for round 3. Next update will be Mon 29th. Merry Christmas!

Yola moves to A2 and tries again to spear the gobo Trying to run him through with the polearm
Seeing how Poot is last for initiative, there's no way for him to get off a bow shot at Koruvus. So he will continue to guard the hallway with his bow at the ready.
Gerund weaves around the pits (C4-B5) and tries another dis-arm attack.
A5 if I can manage it, that way he's caught between me and Yola.
Unsure whether her lights are having any useful effect, Seoni decides she can no longer wait in the wings while her friends are sliced to ribbons. She moves (to A2) and throws a dagger at the abomination of a goblin.
Sasha sheaths her rapier and instinctively pulls out the magic dagger. She loops around the abomination as best she can hoping that it's distracted enough for her to surprise it with a flank attack. Her best option is to hamstring it limiting it's mobility so Gerund and Yola might gain the upper hand (or foot).
