Poot sets his devious plan into motion. He moves around one side of the hole while Shalelu moves around the other. Once they are both in position, Poot begins casting his spell. Its at this point that things get a little crazy.
Sure enough it is the druid Gogmurt hiding in the briars that Poot heard. Gogmurt watched curiously as the two party members moved to flank his position. Being an accomplished spellcaster himself he recognized that Poot was casting a spell and decided the jig was up. As Poot finishes the short incantation for Unseen Servant, Gogmurt bursts forth from the briars, flaming wand in hand, intent on bull rushing the smaller halfling over the edge of the hole. Unfortunately for Gogmurt, Shalelu proves quicker on the draw and pierces his forearm with an arrow, sending his wand clattering to the dirt.
Also unfortunately for Gogmurt, he does get tripped up by Poot's unseen servant and begins to stumble as he reaches Poot.
Unfortunately for Poot, Gogmurt is stronger than your average goblin and grabs Poot with his good hand as he tries to steady himself.
Unfortunately for both Poot and Gogmurt, Poot weighs about as much as a shaved poodle, and both he and Gogmurt topple over the edge and disappear down the howling hole.

(Is there any chance of Sasha being able to dart over the edge and use the whip to snatch Poot?)
@ Sasha: no. She can't prevent the fall, but it might be useful in retrieving Poot
Sasha races to the whole and cups her hands around her mouth calling after Poot.
“Curse the snots! He can’t hear me.” Sasha coiled her whip and bit her bottom lip. “ Seoni can you levitate one of us down or Poot up? There’s got to be a way to get down there.

“When we lost Gustas in the storm we were lost.”
Sasha remembered how her father has smiled at her as she helped him awkward carry some ropes down to the docks.
“Why do you think sweetie?” he responded.
“Cause he was the only one who knew the navigation and stars?”
His laughter made her blush. “Sweet gawds if he was then we really would have been in trouble. We were lost because he was popular among the men. When he went over the edge it was a blow to morale. He was the crew’s heart. There’s always that one person that keeps everyone else going. If you lose your heart then your lost.”
“So what happened?”
Sasha’s father rubbed his jaw going over the scars. “The men started acting up. We put them back in line. When we made it to Port we gave them some time onshore. We almost lost our ship because the ship is more then masts and wood. It has a heart. That is something you always have to guard.”

Sasha looked back at Seoni, Gerund and Yola. “If standing here is the best we can do then I’m going after him.”
Well if we have some rope we could shimming down there as well - what spells does Seoni have?
Shalelu - do you have any rope, Gerund you?
If you want and we have some rope you can tie it around my waist and I'll go down, no need to throw you to the fishes as well Sasha.

Seoni uses Dancing Lights and sends them down into the pit to see if we can locate Poot.
