After some more discussion the party hammers out a plan of attack. The first step is to wait until dawn, when the goblins may be less alert, so you pick a defensible area of the maze and set up a cold camp. Gerund tends to the party's wounds and Seoni rests her mind and regains her spells. Gogmurt, bound and gagged, sulks miserably in a corner.
Just before daybreak you leave Gogmurt at the camp and sneak back to the bridge. Gerund hands his bow to Yola and steels himself for the jog across the bridge, checking the straps on his armor and hefting his shield. With a nod he leaps up and sets the plan in motion.
Seoni casts her Dancing Lights and sends them spiralling towards the farther Western tower at the same time that Shalelu pulls back her long bow and fires the specially alarmed arrow. It lands squarely atop the platform and starts a high pitched shrieking as the lights whirl around the goblin sentries, snapping them out of their nap and thorough panicking them. At the same time Yola and Sasha start to lay down a whistling screen of arrows across the top of the eastern tower.
The sentries on the east tower keep their composure more than those on the west, and the blare of an alarm horn sounds. Moments later, the occasional arrow starts lancing through the air from sentries there, though they seem unsure whether or not to fire at the armoured man running across the bridge or the archers on the far bank.
The fire fight lasts for less than two minutes. The goblins are small targets and and difficult to hit from this range, but Yola and Sasha both manage to wound their targets, forcing the goblins in the east tower back to the far side to deeper cover and preventing them from firing on Gerund, who takes only one unlucky hit on his way across the bridge. Shalelu calmly takes out both of the east tower sentries in short order.
Once across Gerund waves for Seoni to come over. He examines the ropes anchoring the bridge and sees how they could be tied off to prevent its collapse. Just as he completes this task the front gates of Thistletop are thrown open and a pack of mangy goblin dogs charges forth. Behind them are four mounted goblins, eager to gut the longshank invaders ( that would be you).
We've played out the first 3 rounds of your assault on Thistletop. Yola and Sasha each scored a hit against the east tower sentries, while Shalelu scored two fatal hits against the west tower sentries. The sentries on the east tower split their fire between the bridge and the opposite bank and only scored one slight hit on Gerund as he crossed for 2 HP. The other sentries were both killed before they could pick up their bows. The map below shows the current situation. Gerund is alone against a whole whack of baddies. Seoni is about halfway across the bridge. The sentries on the east tower are alive but have retreated out of sight. Character sheets have been adjusted. Keep an eye on your (and Shalelu's ) ammo.
Note that after your rest, all spells, rage pts, special abilities etc are recharged. Post your tactics - next update on Wed.

"And this is where the plan falls apart," Seoni curses. "Damn paladins. Always trying to be the hero." Trying to ignore possible arrow fire and hoping Shalelu and Sasha take care of the sentries, Seoni hikes up her robes and boots across the bridge as fast as she can, trying to get close enough to help Gerund before he's completely overrun.
(Seoni takes a half move and casts magic missile at the goblin dogs. Ideally, she'd like to take out as many targets as possible, so she'll dedicate two missiles per dog, focussing on the dog in the doorway (in the hopes it will block entry of the others) and one of the dogs immediately in front of Gerund.)
Yola; gives her quiver of arrows to Shalelu and starts to get her butt over the bridge.
