At the bottom of the stairs is a room. A large table surrounded by chairs fills much of this room. A slateboard to the north is covered with chalk scribblings, but the map of Sandpoint that has been carefully inscribed on it leaves no doubt as to the purpose of this room - this is doubtless where the recent raid was planned.
The party files into the room and begins to look around. Seoni immediately starts studying chalkboard while the others spread out, Sasha and Gerund trying the opposing doors. Sasha's door on the east wall opens onto a short corridor ending in another door about ten feet ahead, while Gerund's door to the west won't budge. The handle turns, but something seems to be blocking it from the other side. Yola heads over to see if she can help him force it open.
Meanwhile Seoni gleans much useful information from the battle plans on the board. Namely, that one the "whispering beast is tamed," the architects of the plan intend to launch a second raid on the town one that not only incorporates additional goblin tribe from as far away as the Fogscar mountains to the north, but also creatures referred to as "sinspawn" who shall invade Sandpoint from below. The good news is that while no specific timetable is given it looks as if the plan was not as far advanced as the party had worried and that its schedule is still at least a couple of months away from completion.

"A door behind a door?" Sasha raises an eyebrow trying to figure it out. "A stop gap of some kind. " Approaching the next door cautiously she works the handle to see if she can make any extra head way."
As she does so she calls back to her companions. "What's the verdict on the map? Any ideas on what the snots have planned next?"
Seoni replies, "There's definitely plans for another raid, a much larger one. I don't understand what this 'whispering beast' is though."
