While she waits for the rope to be lowered back down to her, Sasha inspects the ledge for any signs of Poot. While she does not find the halfling, she does find an exotic looking but rusted dagger with two gems embedded in the hilt, and a rotted quiver with three undamaged arrows in it. A slender bone wand is tucked into a side pocket.
By the time Sasha returns to the surface Gerund has already treated the worst of Gogmurt's wounds with his healer's kit, and the goblin is slowly coming round to lucidity.
"Okay snot," Sasha stands over the goblin imperiously, "Where's Poot? What happened to our friend?"
Gogmurt, looking truly pathetic, begins to sob noisily. "Me don'ts knows!" he wails. "Hair foot jumped into water and was carried away by ocean. Didn't want to get eatened by howling fish monster me guess, like poor Gogmurt." Here he breaks down into a fit of blubbering, and the party must wait several moments in exasperation for him to regain his composure. "Me knows why you here," he says eventually.
He snorts and wipes at his nose. "You here cause of what we did to Sandpoint. But it nots our fault! Its longshanks fault!" he blurts out, then clamps his hand over his mouth, realizing he probably just insulted his captors. "Not you longshanks, other longshanks."
It doesn't take much more cajoling on Sasha's part to get, the defeated little druid to continue his story. "While back Chief Ripnugget make friends with some longshanks. None of us trust 'em, especially that mean female with the tore up belly. But chief, he likes em lots... especially the female." Here Gogmurt rolls his eyes. "Likes the longshanks female little too much. Make fool of himself. Not listens to Gogmurt anymore, so I's move out here to maze till chief gets senses back and kicks longshanks out."
Here Gogmurt shrugs apologetically. "We nots no beef with Sandpointers. You kill longshanks what giving bad advice to chief and we be no more trouble. You not need to kill anymore goblins 'K?"
So it seems Poot jumped into the pool to save himself from the monster and was washed out to sea. Farewell brave halfing! Your party still has a mission to accomplish. The thistle maze is now under your control, and you have Gogmurt securely bound in the central clearing. The bridge to the fort is to your north east. You know Gogmurt managed to signal them before you took him down, and sunset is now upon you.
What's your next move?

(OOC: A very nice piece of writing. When you say out so sea does this mean gone - "GONE" or at another part of the story?"
Sasha is stunned hearing the Snots tale. She looks down the hole thinking of Poot and digs her nails into the handle of her whip.
Seoni tries to push away the waves of sadness for Poot's loss. They were all still in danger and soon to be in more. Grieving could happen later, and would happen. Poot was the heart of them all.
Seoni replies to Gogmurt: "I think we can all agree that these 'longshanks' that are causing trouble should be dealt with. But how, now that you've raised the alarm against us; we're going to be overrun."
"errm, good question." Gogmurt looks around sheepishly. "I gots nothing"
"Okay, I've got an idea. Gogmurt hides us inside the maze walls. We sneak into the goblin village and deal with the bad guys while the goblins are in the maze looking for us. Then, Gogmurt shows us the secret, safe way back that isn't the maze.
What do you guys think? Suicide, right?"
I vote to get the " longshanks" and our friend here will and should help us out, unless he wants to fish food again.

"Or ... " Sasha draws her whip we could lash the skin from his bones until he tells us what's really going on. "Am I the only one forgetting that Poot's gone. We're going to trust this snot just because he's feeding us some story? If it wasn't for him we would still have Poot and one more person to watch our back."
"What's to stop him from turning the maze against us or alerting his friends? If he is finding so easy to turn against them now what's stopping him from doing it to us?"
Yola:
I'm not forgetting that Poot is gone, and I'm just as upset as you are Sasha, if we leave the maze now and kill this gobo ( pointing with her sword to Gogmurt) then Sandpoint will still be under a attack at some point.
You can still whip the skin off of him for all that I care, but we have decide what to do now, either pull an attack on the goblin lair now or go back to Sandpoint and sing Poot praises with song and ale.
